Using WP as a PIM on LAN problems
-
I’m trying to use WP – the latest 2.9.1 – as a PIM on my LAN.
Things work well enough when I’m on the server (WampServer 2.0 running under WinXP) but when I try to access the pages from another machine, I get a poorly formatted display because WP references for CSS and pages are all absolute to localhost. This pretty well makes it unusable. If I floow any link to a page, it fails because I am NOT on localhost.
What I can’t understand – and I am relatively new to WP – is how this would work if I installed WP on a remote machine somewhere else on the web, which is what I thought was the purpose after all.
