 * An incoherent mess, whose presentation bears no relationship to its own documentation.
   I’ve been using Astra Pro for several years, and have to say that it’s become
   a complete joke, and one which massively increases development time. I was far
   faster in the days when everything was hand coded.

   about whoever is stopping you from hand-coding your themes; that’s just not on!
 * Of course Astra isn’t perfect; no theme is. But your whining is worse, trust

   that used to feel smooth starts slowing you down instead. Astra has grown and
   added a lot of new capabilities over the years, but that doesn’t excuse situations
   where the interface or documentation feels disconnected or harder to work with.

   down for you. Specific examples of the areas that feel incoherent or mismatched
   with the docs would help us pinpoint what needs fixing. Astra’s flexibility is
   meant to speed up development, not increase it, so anything that’s adding friction
   on your end is worth addressing.

 * I agree with this review, Astra is deteriorating more with every version and 
   support tries to blame that either on the customer or WordPress. Support is abysmal.

 * Once we ignore the fecking idiots who see fit to turn up on a forum and do nothing
   to add to the discussion but are only capable of making ad hominem attacks on
   people far more qualified than they to judge, It is clear that Astra, especially
   its functional interface, does have serious issues. WordPress does play a part
   there – it’s going the same way that Movable Type did 15 years ago, concentrating
   on feature overload over usability, but the key issue is clarity of functional
   separation of Astra from WP and then, within Astra, of clarity of functional 
   grouping, orientation, context and navigation. And, yes, it is getting worse,
   and to the point where the whole architecture has to be in question.
