# Valid File Types

 * Hi,
 * I have the most recent versions of WordPress, NextGen, and the Public Uploader.
 * After testing the public uploader for the first time, an error message came back
   that a jpeg is “not a valid file type.”
 * I checked my settings and can’t seem to figure what the problem might be.
    Any
   suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

 * I’m curious if somehow the install wasn’t configured to recognize “jpeg” but 
   was for “jpg”
