# validate_{plugin-filename}

 * I just wonder why WP2 is missing a validate_{plugin-filename} hook. This hook
   would be triggered before a plugin file of that name is activated (activate_{
   plugin-filename}). It may executes a predefined plugin function or using as argument
   the validation functon name that would check plugin requirements and WP compatibily
   issues.
 * I consider such a hook as a must! Even more plugins are incompatible and it is
   really waste of time for users and developers.
 * What do you think about?
