   What validation plug in is required?
    Also from the list of things being validated
   in the help, it does not show that/how a drop-down list is validated? I have 
   a list (with or without a blank) entry. How do I force the user to made a selection
   from the list? if the list does not have a blank entry, then it is possible for
   the user to not make a selection and the field to validate. If I have a blank
   entry, then I want to make sure the user chooses something other than that.

 * If you want to require a Select field, you need to make sure the first option
   is empty.
