 * I have been trying with limited success to import variable products. Simple products
import fine. I tried manually creating a variable product with a few variations
and no problem. I exported the manually created variable product and its’ variations
to a .csv file. Deleting the product – emptying the trash, then importing the
previously exported .csv file. No errors, imports all of the products. The Parent
product is displayed in the list of All Products – but there are no Variations
   associated with the parent product.
 * I split the exported .csv file into two .csv files – one containing the parent
product, and one containing only the product variations – then imported the parent
first, then imported the variations. Again no errors, but only the parent product
appears with no variations associated with it. (Keep in mind, this is data that
has been exported from a working variable product and it’s variations.
 * I’m sure it must be something simple…

 * Having followed up further I have found two items of interest.
 * 1. While I can create products as “Draft” and export them. When imported the
variations will not appear. (The variation products are reported as imported –
but do not appear in the Variations of the associated parent product. Importing
   the products as “Published” works.
 * 2. In reading the instructions some emphasis seems to be placed on importing
the Parent products first – then importing the Variations. I have found that
a correctly formatted .csv file works fine with both the Parent and Variations
in the same file. This is much easier to manage in my opinion as you can see
all the relationships in the spreadsheet together.
