# Variation sorting not working

 * Hi,
 * Since a few weeks my Woocommerce store does not sort the attributes of a product
   the right way, its set to Name (numeric) but it doesnt work anymore. I disabled
   cache and tried to figure out why it does not work.
    When i switch to name or
   ID it works as supposed but Name (numeric) does not.
 * Anyone has a solution for this?

 * I understand that the **Name (numeric)** product attribute sorting option is 
   not working as it should, correct?
 * Have you made any recent updates? Because if it was working before, something
   might have interfered.
 * As a first step, to be sure of this, let’s check if there is any conflict between
   WooCommerce and your theme or another plugin you have installed; an outdated 
   or malfunctioning code could be interfering.
 * To do it, please perform a conflict test by:
 * – Temporarily switching your theme back to [Storefront](https://www.woocommerce.com/storefront/)
   –
   Disabling all plugins except WooCommerce – Check again if the product attributes
   are now displaying correctly
 * If this solves the issue, reactivate the theme first and check again. Then, reactivate
   your other plugins, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.
 * Before proceeding, please make sure that you have a backup of your site and database
   in place, and if something goes wrong, you can restore your site to a functioning
   state.

 * If the issue persists after the conflict test, kindly provide us your System 
   Status to further check; you can find it via `WooCommerce → Status`. Select **
   Get system report** and then **Copy for support**. Once you do this, you can 
   paste your response here.

 * Thats correct, i tried every step you told but even when i disable all the plugins
   including elementor and used the storefront theme the sorting is not working.
 * I can provide system report but i prefer to not paste it here, is there another
   way to share it?

 * PS. custom ordering works well, i have set this up for now and placed all the
   attributes in the right order.

 * I understand your point, you can share the system status report using a service
   like [https://pastebin.com/](https://pastebin.com/) then allow a few days for
   the report to be alive on there.
