It seems like the issue is triggered by your current theme. So, I am suggesting checking the issue after installing the default theme (Twenty Twenty). If enabling the default theme resolved the mentioned issue then this issue can be considered a theme-oriented issue. In that case, contact with the theme author will be best to get assistance in resolving this issue. Please enable the default theme and let me know your feedback on this.
