 * Hi,
 * I’m looking for advice and any recommendations on how to best verify new users
   after initial registration?
 * For example as part of building an auction website we are required to ensure 
   users are genuine bidders with say uploading proof of identification and proof
   of address etc.
 * Would this require a plug-in?

 * Thanks for your reply, however it’s not the auction side of things I’m looking
   for.
 * The problem is at the moment users can register and then use the woocommerce 
   store.
 * I’m looking for a way to verify users after they register (to prove their identify)
   before they can use the store, covering the legal side of things.

 * To rule out an another plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all
   plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away,
   enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.
 * If you can install plugins, install and activate “Health Check”: [https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/)
   
   It will add some additional features under the menu item under Tools > Site Health.
   On its troubleshooting tab, you can Enable Troubleshooting Mode. This will disable
   all plugins, switch to a standard WordPress theme (if available), allow you to
   turn your plugins on and off and switch between themes, **without affecting normal
   visitors to your site**. This allows you to test for various compatibility issues.
