# Version 2.2 problem

 * Hello,
 * With version 2.2 of Password Protected i have to enter the password multiple 
   times until the plugin finally accepts it and let’s me log in (3-4 times average).
 * I have reverted back to version 2.1 where this does not happen.
 * Any idea what might cause this and how to fix this?

 * same situation (on wp 4.9.6), and I can also enter **without entering the password**

 * I have released a version 2.2.1 which fixes a PHP error which is likely the cause
   of these issues.
 * Please upgrade to that version and post if you are still experiencing these issues.

 * Still having issues. The Plugin Regenerate Thumbnails does not work with your
   plugin. Running PHP 7.1

 * The Regenerate Thumbnails plugin has been rebuilt using the REST API.
 * You may currently need to enable the REST API checkbox in the Password Protected
   settings for this to work although this may mean that the public REST API calls
   are not blocked by Password Protected.

 * Please try version 2.2.2 and let me know if this fixes the issue.
 * If not, please enable the REST API checkbox in the Password Protected settings
   and let me know if that works.
