Though how many times they say “there is an update to 3.4.4”,
3.4.4 from what? qTranslate X has version 3.4.3
What version you use from WP?
What theme do you use?
What plugins are you using?
Yes I know qTranslateX has only 3.4.3, but the WordPress 4.2.4 running Hoffman theme said so, that there is an update to 3.4.4. And every time I tried to update to the 3.4.4 which apparently do not exist, they’d say “the plugin file does not exist”, and the latest version would go back to 3.4, and they’d say update to 3.4.3, and things go like this again and again.
Hope this makes sense.
So my website go like two languages mixed in the same page, which make it pretty hard to read through

Download the latest Beta version of qTranslate-x Download it here
Do not use install via WordPress admin!
First unzip the new file.
Deactivate the existing version of qTranslate in WordPress admin.
Then with FTP delete all files in the existing qtranslate-x folder and after that copy all new files in it.
Activate qTranslate-x again via WordPress admin.
