 * The current version of this plugin only works with PHP 8, but my host has not
   updated past PHP 7.4. Is an older version of the plugin that works with PHP 7.4
   available somewhere? Or an alternate version?

 * I have a similar problem. My host does support PHP 8 (I can choose 8.0, 8.1,
   8.2, 8.3) but WordPress itself isn’t clear on the support status of PHP; only
   PHP 7.4 is fully supported. I tried setting PHP on my host to 8.x (all versions)
   and none of them worked with my WP installation. So I had to reset back to 7.4,
   and thus, I can’t use this plugin.

 * I see this in another post “Although deprecated, if you want to update the plugin
   without updating php, you can download the plugin as a zip file and install it
   by rewriting “Requires PHP: 8.0” in the readme.txt to your version.”
 * I just followed this – I downloaded the file, edited readme.txt and changed php
   80 reference to say php 74, and uploaded the directory. I was then able to install/
   activate the plugin! Never heard of using a ‘readme.txt’ to actually configure
   something before but … it worked.
 * Now I need to learn how to use it.
 * NOTE – if you don’t actually require PHP 8.0, I think it would be a great idea
   to change that requirement because I see LOTS of users having issues getting
   WP working with php 8.
