When is a version update scheduled ? It’s going to cause problems with security software if this takes a little longer. You indicate not to release updates if not necessary, but that is no longer how it works in 2024. Nowadays the compatibility of your plugin is being questioned because it has not been updated in a long time. Other software such as WordPress itself gives compatibility warnings as a result. (This plugin **hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress**. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.) Hosting companies and website space providers also warn because your plugin has not been maintained for a long time. These notifications will appear more and more often in the near future as a year has passed without updates. I therefore invite you to do a compatibility update if there are no further issues. We definitely do not want deprecation notices that would turn into errors for our plugins. Nor do we want any sort of compatibility or testing issues in regards to the WordPress version. I spoke with our support engineering team and I am going to create a bug report regarding the status of our Sequential Order Numbers plugin so that we can make sure that everything is up to date on it. While I do not have a timeframe currently, please know that our team is going to review the plugin and apply changes where needed to keep it up to date. There is no new version and after a week no new date for a new version. That’s disappointing. In the worst case, a recompile would have been sufficient. What is your plan to solve this problem? I would like to hear this in upcoming dates (days, weeks or months).
