Hi Ed,
Sorry that you ran into issues here!
Your display shouldn’t be showing that–that’s very odd behavior. You definitely don’t want to fix that in the code. It sounds like perhaps you’ve used the translation file to override some strings in the plugin.
If you weren’t the one to do that originally, you can find and edit the file using this article here: http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/quick-start-guide/#translate
If there’s an existing file and you upgraded, you may need to add the missing strings to make the translation “more complete” but it should be working correctly.
Another thing to try is to upgrade to 4.1.5, which we released today.
If that doesn’t help, please let me know.
Thank you for your prompt and informative reply. You are correct, I didn’t set the site up, just migrated it from another host to GoDaddy. I will install the updated plug-in and review the translation file and report back! Have a great week-end.
Awesome plug-in, BTW.
Ed
Thanks for the kind words Ed!
If you want to say thanks more publicly, we always appreciate a nice review right here: http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/view/plugin-reviews/business-directory-plugin
No worries, I reviewed the plug-in earlier. I’m still running into the button-label issue, where the action button displays “View wpbdp_listing” instead of “View Business”.
I checked the translation file ( it’s the default en-US.po & .mo. A search for “View” in poedit shows “View [template]”, which I assume is as it should be.)
THeme is ‘Woo Scrollider’, widget is ‘Woo – Post Type Slideshow’. Theme and Plug-in are up-to-date.
Note that this issue only occurs for ‘Directory’-type listings. Other listings such as ‘Testimonials’ or ‘Features’ display as they should.
I’m not sure where I should be looking to try to fix the issue.
I “deleted” the widget (using the close|delete links in the Appearance>Widgets area). I then re-enabled the widget, but the issue persists.
Are there any suggestions you can make that would point me in the right direction?
Hi Ed,
I checked the translation file ( it’s the default en-US.po & .mo. A search for “View” in poedit shows “View [template]”, which I assume is as it should be.)
Actually…no.
It should say “View Listing”. Something has changed this in your translation file. It’s incorrect. Change [template] to Business and re-upload the changed file.
Make sure that your language settings are as noted here: http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/quick-start-guide/#translate
And be sure to activate the translation file in the settings. That will fix this issue.
