• Hi there,

I installed this plugin today and it’s working well so far until I hit a bump on the password reset page earlier. The issue is a section of the shortcode is visible to the end user just below the check your spam folder text. What’s visible is:

    in_link=”yes” register_link=”yes” ]

It’s only visible on this last part of the sequence. To try and fix the issue I created a 2nd password recovery page and pointed the password recovery page settings to this page but the shortcode text is still visible to the end user when testing.

Any ideas what would be causing this issue?

    Many thanks,

    Mark

    Hi @mheffo

There are only 2 possible reasons that I can think of that could be causing this.

    1) Your shortcode hasn’t been written properly.

    2) A theme or plugin on your end is causing issues with shortcodes parsing.

In the first case, I would suggest you remove the shortcode and type it manually so that you’re sure it’s been properly typed. Sometimes when copying and pasting text over the internet into an editor, the editor could keep html tags and other text that does not belong there.

In the second case, my suggestion is to disable all other plugins and test one by one who’s causing the issue. If that fails, try changing to a default theme too.

PS: could you provide me the link to your page? Maybe I can spot the issue by checking the html generated on the page ( just in case you’re using a page builder or similar tools ).

    Let me know.

    Regards,
    Alessandro.

    Hi Alessandro,

    Many thanks for the reply.

    1) I deleted the original pages, created a new page and typed in the shortcode first within <p> tags (classic edit block) and then using the shortcode block. Both approaches haven’t worked and I still seeing the the cropped off shortcode text. I’ve played around with using single or double quotes and using just the login_link code and still not working.

What I noticed is the login and register links are placed in a

tag on the password reset page (before the user enters their username or email). When the form is submitted and the page reloads the login and register links are not placed in a

    Hi @mheffo

This is highly unlikely a bug within WPUM. Please send me an email to [email protected] so I can have a close look at your website.
