 * Issue#1…
 * The editing box will not display the “visual” version of text. this is true for
   both “write/post” and “manage/page” and anything else that requires text input
 * The two tabs are there… Visual/Code… but the display box only has code in it..
   and when you click the tabs it does nothing except say “error on page” in tiny
   words at the bottom of the dialogue box
 * Issue#2…
 * I figured I could fixe it by downloading a new editing tool (I used fckeditor)
 * It worked fine the first time i activated it and used it…
    But when I logged
   off an logged back on later, a similar thing happened…
 * The edit box flashed for less than a second and then went blank (fckeditor defaults
   to Visual)
 * The title bar is there and I can type in it… ALL the edit menus are there (sidebar
   and bottom)…
 * BUT it’s just missing the entire box for inputting text.
 * I went to the FTP cient… deleted all the plug-in files and re-loaded but the
   same thing
 * SO…..
 * Since the Visual edit box is f-ked up in both the standard editor and the plug-
   in editor, then something has to be wrong with the WordPress code in how it’s
   triggering the “Visual”… (yes?)
 * any ideas on what to look for or how to fix it??
 * I am a total newbie and don’t know much about HTML code.

 * I’m gonna say no.
 * What happens when you try from multiple PC’s?
    Are you running and “security
   suite” type programs on your computer? more than one will helpfully block javascript—
   which clobbers the wysiwyg editor. You have javascript enabled in your browser,
   right?

 * > security suite is turned off (Zone Alarm)
    > pop-up blocker off > “visual mode”
   in profile is already on > all Java options in Int Explr are checked.
 * Still no “Visual Mode”

 * UPDATE:
 * The “visual” mode works in both FireFox and Netscape… but not in IE. Very strange.

 * These are exactly the problems I was/am having with Internet Explorer.
 * A possible fix for your problem #1:
 * The problem of only getting your editor window to show text in the code button
   mode is an Internet Explorer v 6.0.2800 problem with Iframes. I found a security
   bulletin concerning the problem and downloaded the “IE6.0sp1-KB937143-Windows2000-
   x86-ENU” service patch, which fixed that problem. If you are using IE v. 6.0.2800
   then you need to do the same for your particular Windows OS. The problem stemmed
   from a buffer overflow due to long frame names. With this service patch up date,
   all the editor buttons reload just fine, however, your problem #2 still isn’t
   solved.
 * Problem #2:
 * In the editor (WP 2.3.1) there are supposed to be pop-up windows for pasting
   in plain text or text generated with MS-Word. However, those pop-ups do not work
   with my IE. Both FireFox and Opera work just fine providing the pop-up windows
   for text insert. However, no matter what I do with IE, I cannot get the pop-ups
   to work. I have checked off everything in IE’s setup to allow inline Iframes
   etc, etc… I do not have a pop-up blocker turned on. However, no pop-ups with
   IE… So, if you have determined a fix, please let us know…
 * By the way, I use FireFox and I personally do not have a major problem. The problem
   I am trying to solve is for an associate… well, actually one of the managers…
   I have tried to explain that FireFox is a better solution, but he is head strong
   and comfortable with his IE… So a solution to using the editor with IE and getting
   the pop-ups would be helpful…
