# Visual editor doesn't work

 * I’m having the same problem as so many others and all the volunteer moderators
   have said to start your own thread, go through the master list, switch to the
   default theme and deactivate all the plug-ins.
 * I have done every one of those steps and nothing is fixed. I’m also not able 
   to add any media to my posts.
 * Please advise and give me something new to try.

 * I would try rebooting your computer and trying a different browser.
    THe visual
   editor not working is usually because there’s a javascript error somewhere. The
   most likely scenario is from a plugin or a theme.

 * Nope. Like I said before, I have deactivated all the plugins and switched themes
   several times with no luck. I have used different computers and different browsers.
   I had no problems with this before the upgrade. According to my search results,
   this problem is widespread.

 * Try putting this in your wp-config.php (above ‘stop editing here’)

   my php categories:

 * You can use ftp to get to that file. Use notepad or an html editor to make the
   change.
