# Visual Editor Formatting Problem

 * I’m having a bit of a problem with the editor. It’s stuck on visual editing mode
   yet the text box is acting like the HTML mode:

 * I can’t switch between either, there’s no preview post option available, among
   a few other things. While still workable, it’s incovenient – especially if I 
   decide to allow other editor accounts.
 * I think it started happening after I tried using Gears once (I have disabled 
   Gears and tried accessing it from another browser, no luck). However, it could
   have also happened after isntalling the “Aizatto’s Related Posts” or “MCEComments”
   plugins, though I doubt either being the cause.
 * In any case, is there a way to return it to its previous state of operation? 
   Disabling plugins doesn’t help at all; neither does deleting Gears.

 * I’ve had the same problem since upgrading from 2.6 to 2.6.1. Reinstall, and even
   upgrading to 2.6.2 didn’t help. Neither did all the other suggestions here (short
   of trashing the database and starting from scratch…) Finally, I decided to use
   a “hired gun”. He fixed it in less than 15 min. for a very small fee. If you

 * same problem. i am also getting ‘blank’ update pages (such as post.php…) which
   may be related?
 * anyone who how to fix this without spending money??
