    HI,

I’m having some issues with the w3 total cache plugin and the header main menu on my website.

Whenever I deactivate the plugin, the links for the menu are still clickable but the whole menu is completely invisible throughout my site making navigation impossible.

I’ve downloaded the health check plugin and put my site in troubleshooting mode, where I set up my site the same as the live version and then deactivate W3, but the menu is still visible in troubleshooting mode so I can’t test what other plugins could be conflicting.

Right now I am attributing the issue to W3 as that is what causes the issue on my live site, but any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello @jprincesprung

I am sorry about the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to help!

Whenever I deactivate the plugin, the links for the menu are still clickable but the whole menu is completely invisible throughout my site making navigation impossible.

Well, this is awkward. To confirm, the problem starts to occur once W3TC is disabled?
Can you please make a backup of the wp-content/cache/ folder, then, go to your wp-admin and deactivate the plugin. After that, manually delete the wp-content/cache/ and reload your website.
By removing this folder everything that was cached will be deleted and will no longer affect your website.
Let me know if the issue is still there after this.
Have you made any theme updates recently?
    Thanks!

    Hi Marko,

Thank you for your quick response.

Correct, the problem occurs when I deactivate the W3TC plugin.

I followed the steps you recommended, and the problem persisted after disabling the W3TC plugin and deleting the cache folder.

I have tested several different solutions now, but it seems that whenever I disable the W3TC plugin, my main menu disappears.

I have reenabled the W3TC plugin as without it enabled; my menu doesn’t show.

    No theme updates recently.

Any further help is much appreciated!

    Hello @jprincesprung

Thank you for the information. It seems like W3 Total Cache, when installed, is covering the issue on your website.
Can you please disable the settings one by one in Performance>general settings, save the settings and purge the cache after each setting is disabled and see which option may be related to this?
    Thanks!

    Hi Marko,

Thank you again for the quick response.

It seems the header menu disappears when I disable the minify setting in general.

Is there any further assistance you can provide to help with this issue?

    Hello @jprincesprung

Thank you for the information and I am sorry for the late reply. I’ve must have missed the notification for this topic.
Are you using any other minify plugin or solution like Cloudflare, and if so, is Minify enabled in cloudflare?
    Thanks!
