 * Could you escape the & as & as it causes an error in W3 Validator?
 * As I just disabled the plugin for my site you can’t verify it over there. Your
   own site doesn’t return the error but maybe you’re not using the WordPress plugin?

 * Thanks! I’ll wait for the footer issue to enable the plugin again. As Google 
   seems to have issues with my site I’m now combing through all the possible causes:
