I got Warning at backend after update to WordPress 5.3

Warning: Declaration of W3TC\DbCache_Wpdb::prepare($query, $args) should be compatible with wpdb::prepare($query, …$args) in /~~xxx~~/~~xxxx~~/public_html/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/DbCache_Wpdb.php on line 8

I am using https://themeforest.net/item/obsequy-funeral-home-wordpress-theme/19166483 theme.

When I disable Database Cache warning disappears.

I’ve got the same problem on several websites (different hosting, different themes) – just deactivate the W3 Total Cache plugin now and waiting on an upddate.

Hmm, I will for now only stick on with deactivation of “Database Cache” it’s help me.

This was already reported in this topic numerous times:https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/plugin-not-compatible-with-new-wordpress-update-5-3/
Also, there is a Github issue opened in our Public Repository. Please follow the update on the issue regularly.
We are working to resolve this. At the time being please disable DB Cache.
Edit: Please do not create duplicate topics and check for the existing ones first

The fix patch update has just been released addressing the issue. Please update W3 Total Cache to the latest release!

@vmarko How are we supposed to update our W3 Total Cache when I can’t even get access to my dashboard neither login to the WP dashboard or access it?

Please follow the instructions in this post. After you do this you need to update W3 Total Cache and purge all caches
