On the Wordfence Live Activity page this text is flashing:

Warning: dns_get_record(): DNS Query failed in /www/webvol4/27/azmey8h36w3wexi/XYZ.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wfScanEngine.php on line 879 Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /www/webvol4/27/azmey8h36w3wexi/XYZ.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wfScanEngine.php on line 881 0

    What to do?

(I replaced my url with XYZ.com)

The flashing text has disappeared. Don’t know why.

    Hi,

Normally the DNS query issue is caused by the hosting company’s DNS server settings. The DNS server should give some response, whether it finds the host correctly, or responds that it can’t find your host’s own name.

If the message comes back, you may need the hosting company to fix it. (If it’s a VPS or if you have a shell account on the server, you can try ‘dig hostname.com’ to see what kind of response the DNS server is giving.)
