# Warning: Error: Variable ‘character_set_client’

 * Hello I am new to your backup plugin and today I did a restore and although it
   seems to have restored ok. I got this warning notice in the control panel and
   within the log.
 * >  2022-11-16 15:16:46: ——- Reload Service ——-
   >  2022-11-16 15:16:46: Warning:
   > Error: Variable ‘character_set_client’ can’t be set to the value of ‘NULL’
 * Does anyone know what this error means and how I can fix it please?
