 * Hi,
 * Having searched the forums for a similar topic I only found one but it’s not
   the same.
 * We have our own Linux server on which we host our own WordPress sites.
 * All works well, and no issues.
 * We’re re-designing one site from .net to WP and I’m working on a local development
   machine (altering hosts file to be able to get to the website).
 * The page Editor is Elementor.
 * Once in a while, when trying to save something I get this error:
 * Web Application Firewall
    This transfer is blocked by a Web Application Firewall.
 * This transfer is blocked.
    URL [http://www.ourdomain.com/wp-admin/post.php](http://www.ourdomain.com/wp-admin/post.php)
   Event ID 40000131 Event Type signature
 * However it’s not consistent. For example, one part of the theme we bought is “
   team members” I’ve made 5 team members a few days ago. Today when trying to edit
   one of them I get the error. The other 4 – no error???
 * Examining the “rogue” team member I see no different content.
 * I know the “blocked by a WAF” has popped it’s head up over the years but I haven’t
   really been bothered by it until now.
 * I’ve even gone into our WHM and looked at modsecurity. Found one rule that mentioned
   signatures, so I deactivated it to no avail. I even turned the entire modsecurity
   off but still get the error. I have no security plugins in the WP website yet.
 * I wonder if any of the experts on here has any suggestions?
 * Thanks
 * David

 * This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins,
   and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable
   them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.
 * If you can install plugins, install and activate “Health Check”: [https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/)

   It will add some additional features under the menu item under Tools > Site Health.
   On its troubleshooting tab, you can Enable Troubleshooting Mode. This will disable
   all plugins, switch to a standard WordPress theme (if available), allow you to
   turn your plugins on and off and switch between themes, **without affecting normal
   visitors to your site**. This allows you to test for various compatibility issues.
   There’s a more detailed description about how to use the Health Check plugin
   and its Troubleshooting Mode at [https://make.wordpress.org/support/handbook/appendix/troubleshooting-using-the-health-check/](https://make.wordpress.org/support/handbook/appendix/troubleshooting-using-the-health-check/)
