# Webfinger plugin does not work

 * When i installed the plugin and activate it, the plugin does not work.
 * i get this message:
 * `missing "resource" parameter`

 * We have some maintainance now, with SSL certifcate included, is also showing 
   that message.

 * You do not have to add anything anywhere, it works out of the box! You simply
   checked the URL without a `resource` `GET` param.
 * The resource represents a user on your blog. Here is an example of your support
   user: [http://induro.tech/.well-known/webfinger?resource=acct%3Asupport%40induro.tech](http://induro.tech/.well-known/webfinger?resource=acct%3Asupport%40induro.tech)
 * The resource of this user is `acct:support@induro.tech`. Check the user profile
   settings in WordPress to check the WebFinger resources for the other users.

 * I am having a similar struggle with this webfinger appearing/ being missing.
 * I just worked with the dev’s at WPMU to test it out. We tested with the ActivityPub
   plugin, without it. With security plugins, without them. With XML on/off. Changing
   pretty print permalinks from one to another. Adding .well-known directory in 
   file system.
