 * On one of several webhosting accounts, we installed this plugin to try it out.
   Seemed to work well.
 * However, for the past several months, whenever we log into our sites, our IP
   is blocked by the webhosting company. EVERY. TIME.
 * We cannot update our sites and the hosting tech support has no clue. We are frustrated
   beyond words.
 * QUESTION: What does this plugin change, so we can un-change it in our wordpress
   installs?

 * To be clear, this is a seemingly standard WHM/cPanel hosting setup which most
   webhosting companies use. So, if this is something new to WHM/cPanel, then could
   it affect everyone using the plugin?

 * Hello,
 * Well that’s a new one on us. When installed, the plugin modifies the .htaccess
   file to block the regular wp-login.php access completely.
 * It also replicates the wp-login.php file so that login can be allowed.
 * When you sign into your WordPress control panel, the plugin actually doesn’t
   do anything so I’d be surprised if this is causing your issue but would appreciate
   an update when you have tested without the plugin installed.
 * Manual removal (if you are unable to deactivate the plugin from within the dashboard)
   is simply a case of removing the lines from .htaccess which are surrounded by**#
   BEGIN BlockWPLogin** and **# END BlockWPLogin** and then removing the duplicate
   xxxxxxxx-wp-login.php file.

 * Thank you for the response and info. I removed that block of text from the .htaccess
   file as well as the new login file. Logged in and still got blocked moments later.
 * So it appears there is something else wrong at my host.
 * My apologies!

 * No problem! Glad it’s not something we’ve caused and thank you for reporting
   back.
 * Oliver
