# WebP clarification

 * Hi,
 * From what I understand, WebP is supported on pretty much everything with the 
   exception of Safari pre-Big Sur.
 * If we turn on WebP in settings, what happens for those users? Do they get an 
   older JPEG version, or do they get a blank where the image should be?
 * While I want to use it, it is a little unclear as to what happens in that case…
