# Website – Down

    I have just updates a couple of plugins and now the website is not working
   at all. I can no even log in to see the controle page….
 * Can anyone help me please

 * I have check the server and I can access the files thru FTP but nothing else.
 * I did not pay to much attention to the plugins being updated but one was a back-
   up and the other a live chat comms?
 * Please help if you can.

 * Since you have access via ftp, navigate to wp-content and change the name of 
   the plugins folder, something like pluginsOLD
 * then in your browser go to domain.com/wp-admin and see if you can log in?
 * If so, you can then rename your plugins folder back to plugins
 * Then turn your plugins back on one by one to find the one that has hosed your
   site
 * (changing the name of 1 plugin folder in the file structure deactivates that 
   plugin, changing the name of the plugin folder shuts them all off)

 * You are a STAR, thank you very so much, I have renamed Plugin’s folder to OLD
   and all working again.
 * I will remove the plugin’s that i do not use anyway as all three that were updated
   were not active.
 * If I have any further problems, I’ll be back

 * I have narrowed down the problem to the following plug in
 * backupwordpress/plugin.php
 * The message I now receive by renaming the plugin in is
 * The plugin backupwordpress/plugin.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin
   file does not exist.
 * Ironically, this is the plugin that I installed to protect my website, I will
   contact the developers and see if they can help.
