 * This morning I tried my website and log in to my wp-admin panel and I couldn’t
   get in. This is the error message:
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ”1Aqapkrv” (T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING),
   expecting ‘,’ or ‘;’ in /home1/casin/public_html/2catsjewelry.com/wp-content/
   plugins/wordfence/lib/wordfenceClass.php on line 756
 * Could you please, tell me what to do. Everything was working fine since last
   night.
 * Thank you,

 * Hi,
 * Did you add or change anything on your site before the error?
 * Here is how to regain access to your site using FTP…

 * Once you regain access, try reinstalling the plugin.
 * Thanks,
    Brian

 * Was a hacker that changes several files among them wordfenceClass.php. I cleaned
   everything and now I’m up and running.

 * question, did you find the source of that hack. I have cleaned and cleaned the
   site I have been working on with the same issue and it keeps coming back.

 * I’ve been battling the hackers that leave exactly this kind of content for weeks.
   The infection comes back every week, once or twice a week.
 * The first thing that is reported by an error message, when I visit my blog, is
   what you posted above about wordfenceClass.php. I then replace the files using
   FTP and able to then use Wordfence to clean the rest of the WordPress installation.
 * This infection corrupts PHP and HTML files outside the WordPress installation
   too. I don’t know how it enters the site or how to prevent it.

 * If your WordPress core and plugins are all up to date, there is a good chance
   that someone has your FTP password or hosting account / control panel password,
   so I would recommend changing those first. Your non-WordPress PHP files could
   also have a security hole.
 * We have a guide to cleaning hacked sites here:
    [http://docs.wordfence.com/en/My_site_was_hacked._How_do_I_use_Wordfence_to_clean_it%3F](http://docs.wordfence.com/en/My_site_was_hacked._How_do_I_use_Wordfence_to_clean_it%3F)
 * You might also want to set Wordfence to scan files outside of your WordPress
   installation, since you mentioned having other PHP files:
    [http://docs.wordfence.com/en/Wordfence_options#Scan_files_outside_your_WordPress_installation](http://docs.wordfence.com/en/Wordfence_options#Scan_files_outside_your_WordPress_installation)
 * Remember to also check your WordPress Users list, to make sure a second admin
   hasn’t been created.
 * If you continue having problems cleaning the site, can you make a new post so
   we can track it? (This one was already marked resolved, and the wordpress.org
   forum rules ask us to make separate posts for each person’s issues, even if they’re
   related.) Thanks!
