 * Hello everyone,
 * I’m sending here an S.O.S !
    I had built a website for two friends, using the
   4.4 wp version. I had installed the “unite” theme (developped by colorlib). This
   template could only display one sub-category and i wanted to have two of them
   for some tab. I went on their own forum to ask for help and was lead to a tutorial
   which indicated me how to change the php code to have this done. I followed the
   steps and when I clicked to update the code and it went blank and since then
   the website is not accessible anymore and i cannot even get connected to the
   wp backoffice :/ I have no idea how I could solve this problem… Does any of you
   has any clue ???
 * Thanks in advance
 *  Marie

 * It might cause for blank space between two codes or some restricted editing.
   If you have access on cpanel, delete the change from theme file.

 * Agreed, if you have left blank space somewhere, this can have an effect like
   the one you are seeing.
 * Also, whenever you are going to make a change to a file, be sure to make a copy
   of the file first so you can always roll back if unexpected things happen.

 * Yeah, that’s what I had done (copying the initial file) ! However i cannot change
   it back since i cannot get access to the Cpanel… Have you ever encountered such
   situation ?

 * You need to access your website’s files through your hosting provider’s control
   panel rather than WordPress. It should allow you to download the file with the
   issue, edit it locally and then re-upload it.

 * Ok Andrew, thanks ! That’s what I had also tried but unsuccessfully. However
   i guess it’s the only way 🙂
