# Website Preview

 * Hello community. I am trying to get a preview page to display for my website 
   when the URL is shared via text. I have set a set a Feature Image on the home/
   front page but nothing still appears when the link is shared. Any suggestions?

 * Install a plugin to provide the necessary Open Graph meta tags for link previews.

 * But if you don’t want to use an SEO plugin at all, there are dedicated OpenGrah

 * (Note that you shouldn’t use the two together, or else you’ll have duplicate 
   meta tags)

 * Your website needs Open Graph meta tags for this to work: [https://ogp.me/](https://ogp.me/)
 * The easiest way to add them is by using a SEO plugin that will do most of the
   work for you, such as automatically adding the featured image you chose as an`
   og:image` meta tag. If you already have a SEO plugin, check its settings to ensure
   it’s properly configured. If not, I recommend installing either [Slim SEO](https://wordpress.org/plugins/slim-seo/)
   or [The SEO Framework](https://wordpress.org/plugins/autodescription/). These
   plugins allow you to configure Open Graph meta tags globally and/or on a per-
   page basis.
 * For testing purposes, you can use third-party websites that will display your
   Open Graph meta tags and let you preview how they will be used. For example:

    - [https://iplocation.io/open-graph-checker](https://iplocation.io/open-graph-checker)
