    Hi,

Have issue which I found to be connected with Autoptimize. Found out that our website title is not being shown or translated with WPML. After testing and looking for the issue, it seems like title cannot be changed at all. After changing it gets back to old one and new does not get saved.

Deactivating all modules and themes it seems like to be connected with autoptimize plugin. After deactivating it, title can be changed and website shows again translated titles(title that is shown on browser tab).

    Anyone else experienced this issue?

    Kind Regards,
    Kaur

I have read about an output buffer conflict between I think “All in one SEO” and Autoptimize which in specific configurations caused something similar, but it’s the first time I’ve read about an issue with WPML I’m afraid. Maybe check with WPML support to hear if they use the output buffer for title rewriting purposes?

Additionally (and if not output buffering); try disabling just CSS or just HTML or just JS or just image opt.) to see if this changes anything?

WPML support checked it. Reached them firstly because I thought its something to do with WPML plugin because the title translations were not working. Only English is displayed and not the translated ones. They checked the backend and tried to change the title. From there it came out that the title cannot be changed somehow which was really strange for them.

Thanks for quick reply. I will give it a try with suggested changes to see if it works out.

Not sure what happened actually. HTML optimize was already off, disabled for CSS as well. Did not changed anything.
Disabled the plugin and titles started working again. Now when I activate module again, it stays all fine and again possible to change the site title under settings.
Very awkward. Anyway from my side it can be closed because issue itself is solved, not sure how but its solved.
Thanks for quick reply and support. 🙂
