 * that sounds like a conflict with an SEO plugin trying to rewrite the title which(
also) uses the output buffer like AO does. what SEO plugin are you using?

 * OK, so does that have an option to rewrite the title and can you tweak settings
   in there?

 * In All In One SEO? Have a look at [https://semperplugins.com/documentation/title-settings/](https://semperplugins.com/documentation/title-settings/)
   maybe?

 * don’t really know AIOSEO well enough to be honest, I just did a quick web search
   for documentation 🙂
 * let’s first and foremost take a step back; can you disable AIOSEO for a minute
to confirm it indeed the combination of AO & AIOSEO that is causing that title-
   swapping?

 * In that case you might have to liaise with the AIOSEO developers to ask if they
know how to fix that conflict because I’m afraid I have no idea how their title
   rewriting works :-/

 * AIOSEO dev here. We use output buffering to rewrite the title, although we’re
going to switch to the proper hooks instead soon. I’m not sure either how we
can prevent this conflict since I don’t have much knowledge of caching plugins.
However, I use Autoptimize with AIOSEO on my personal site and I can’t reproduce
   the issue there.

 * Hey Arnaud, weird that it doesn’t always happen, based on my experience with
support here I would even say it works most of the time. Maybe a 3rd plugin has
to be at play to cause this to go wrong?
 * Groeten uit Lokeren! 😉
