    Hi all.

this will take a minute please bare with me..

I thought I was having a template issue, but it’s a bigger issue than that..
It appears wordpress is not loading the database from the front end, but works from the back end..

I migrated my clients wordpress from godaddy to my server.. I ftp’d the entire website to my local drive then re-uploaded to my server. Backed up the DB with phpymyadmin. Even exported wp from backend. Same domain name. DNS is pointed to me..

reversed the process – created DB, imported DB – uploaded files, etc..
Edited the wp-config file and pointed everything to me –

But the page loads without the template and no widgets. Logged into the back end shows everything is fine.

After some troubleshooting it seems the front end isn’t using my wp-config.php file. I can rename it and the page looks the same – shows some content but it’s old and the template is wrong.

when I try to log into the back end the wordpress setup wants to run as the wp-config file isn’t there.

Any ideas? I’m not sure where to being.

Thanks for reading this novel. lol.

    I’m an idiot – I swear I’m getting old.

There was an index.html file with an old template in there.

Removed the file and the site is there.

    Sorry this is closed.
