• I am a volunteer for a non profit and I used this app to build the login mechanism for the org’s site.

Its a great plugin, its not super bloated with features, and does what it advertises. Perhaps most importantly, the pricing model stuck a good bargain making it not worth my time to try implement a login function myself. Their model is: you pay for the plugin and 1 yr of updates, after that, if you want future updates you have to renew. And I think thats quite fair.

The visual design is also quite pretty and we have a good amount of features and configuration option with out too much unnecessary bloat. I really also like the questionaire feature.

Still some areas for improvement I found were:

    • For one of the popup login, there is a decorative image. The only way to change that is to go into wp-content and physically replace that. It would be better if you can set the media used from your wp gallery. (Edit: Addressed, thanks!)
    • For the twitter oauth they were using a library implementing oauth 1.0 which is considered a bit dated. Still on the user-end its not a big deal at all but this would be an easy fix. (Edit: Addressed, thanks!)
    • For the login page, there is a login and signup tab. In practice its not super intuitive to all my users that you need to switch to the register tab from the default login tab to create an account. (Edit: Addressed, thanks!)
    • The documentation on getting oauth tokens for the social addon were a bit outdated in some places. But the internet is your friend so no big deal.

Thank you for your review and the complinments 🙂

I would just like to answer to the points you mentioned.

    1) You can change the image from the settings, please go to “Login/Signup popup settings” -> style -> popup ->sidebar image

    2) Sorry, we are forced to use the oauth 1.0 as you cannot get the email address of a user in oauth 2.0. Trust me, developing social login for ouath 1.0 was such a pain. There is no other option than using 1.0.

    3) You can go to “Login/Signup popup settings” -> General and set the form pattern to “Single Field form”, that will give you a different UI.
Or using shortcodes, you can create separate forms for “Login and Signup” and disable the tabs from the settings.

    4) Sorry about that, the website keeps updating its UI, and it’s sometimes hard to keep up with the changes.

I see. Thanks. Fair enough. This then addressed most of my issues.

The only other feedback I have then is to be able to use the wp-editor for Single Field Form Heading/Subtext instead of only being able to add plain text.
