# What does this error msg. mean?

 * Hello,
 * Recently upgraded my WP site to 2.8
 * There is an error msg:
    ————- Error: [Exception… “Node was not found” code: “

 * What does this error mean and how can I fix it?
 * The dashboard navigation menu is missing is missing. This prevents me from editing
   my homepage, my right hand column, etc.
 * Plug in menu is not viewable/is absent.
 * Site functions but is quite handicapped as a result of serious upgrade problems.
 * Please help!

 * Reupload and manually reupgrade again. You may have missing or corrupted files.
   See:

 * Try disabling your plugins and switching to the default theme to see if this 
   fixes anything. If you can’t get into the admin, delete the plugins and/or theme
   with ftp (back them up to your computer first).
