# What does this plugin do, exactly?

 * I installed this plugin thinking or hoping to make multi-site management a bit
   easier. My `define('DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE', 'example.com');` was already commented
   out per author instructions from the “Networks for WordPress” plugin.
 * So I am not exactly sure what this plugin does. It does display a duplicate listing
   of my networks on the Sites > Network page that were not listed twice before.
 * I am looking around for an easier way to manage my multi-site network of sites,
   like:
    > ability to login as the super admin once and not have to login to each
   network as I switch > not have to connect to each network and click the Upgrade
   Network link each time WP updates (once place to upgrade across entire network
   of sites would be awesome) > not have to click the Check Again button on the
   WordPress Updates screen after I update a theme or a plugin — it would be great
   if WordPress could figure that out on its own
 * Thanks for clarifying how best to use this plugin

 * Hi Jose,
 * It looks like what you are looking for can be accomplished with just a normal
   multisite network. This plugin is great for having several subnetworks, all with
   their own settings, that share a user base and some cross functionality depending
   up on the way plugins are coded. Let me see if I can point you in the right direction
   for what you are looking to accomplish.
 * 1. For the ability to login as a super admin and not have to re-login per network
   there is a much better solution (which ironically is not compatible with wp-multi-
   network)
    [https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/multi-domains/](https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/multi-domains/)
 * Together with [https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/domain-mapping/](https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/domain-mapping/)
   you’ll have domains and single sign on covered for your network.
 * *One note is that you do need to make sure that you have any domain you want
   to use in multi domains set up as a wildcard subdomain on your network, i.e.,
   subdomain with an *.subdomain.com.
 * 2. When wp updates it will ask you to update all existing sits and goes though
   them automatically form one place by default.
 * 3. Updating themes and plugins will naturally update across all sites on the
   network.
 * Again, with what you have asked to do, I would suggest a simple WordPress multisite
   install with activating the single sign-on by wpmudev.
