• Hi,

I’m trying two websites with 2 different themes.
For site n° 1, I’m using theme X, I have almost nothing installed; no plugins, no content, no SEO, no no…. But, when I search it in google, it appears in the first page!
For site 2, I have theme Y, and much more content and plugins: All-in-one SEO plugin, and some other posts with SEO config.. but when I search it in google, it doesn’t appear, even in the 20 first pages!

What is going wrong? Is the theme choice behind this discrepancy?
Why the first site appears in google, though there is no SEO nor content, and the other site with SEO plugin and content doesn’t?

  • You may want to stop assuming your site content will ever be listed by Google…FYI, this is NOT a WP issue.

And why it could not be listed? At the moment it is online, why it will not be listed?
Why one site was listed and the other wasn’t? Though they are the same server and root folder?
Is it a theme issue so?

Is it a theme issue so?

    who knows?

to be able to comment on this in more detail, we need to see the sites – please post links to both sites.

do you have public access allowed for both sites?
    – in dashboard – seetings – privacy and/or via robots.txt?
are you using google webmaster tools to get more info?
are you using google analytics to get the traffic information?
is there are difference in the site’s topic or ‘area of interest’?
