    Hello Yoast friends,

    We would required some advise and assistance regarding the Open Graph social link preview not appearing in *only* Whatsapp Desktop version. (Facebook,Twitter, other social media preview works including Whatsapp web,android/ios is working fine)

    This only happened to WordPress website which I’m using Yoast SEO plugin if the Open Graph is manually created with simple empty HTML it will be able to preview on Whatsapp we have been tweaking the website including the host configurations to more simplified and remove every plugin with default WordPress theme and Yoast the issue still persist.

    Steps to replicate :_

    Enter URL to the Whatsapp chat desktop version

    What to expect :_
    Social Media Link Preview shall appear when entering url on the chat

    What is not working :-
    Did not appear

    Hello Raecrisos

    Thanks for reaching out regarding your WhatsApp previews on desktop.

    By default, WhatsApp uses the standard social open graph meta by Facebook. Since the preview works well for Facebook and Twitter, it means it could be an issue specific to WhatsApp or something else that we’re not aware of. You might want to reach out to the WhatsApp team for further assistance on this.
