 * Am I correct that it goes in this field:
    Code to be added before the end of
   the page

 * The new google analytics code goes on the “head” section of every page.

 * Thanks. It will be interesting to see what happens. One theme I use has a special
   field for Analytics code. For other sites I’ve installed Google Analytics for
   WP, and it takes care of fetching and placing the code itself.

 * Hi – I edited the google analytics code as instructed in the head section of
   each page under Settings>Header and Footer – then Page Head and Footer tab in
   section called “Code to be added on HEAD section of every page”. I copied the
   exact code generated in my Google analytics accounts, and clicked “Save” at the
   bottom.
 * When I go back into my Google Analytics page and look at property to verify it,
   it still says “Status: Tracking Not Installed
    Last checked: Apr 14, 2015 10:
   15:50 AM PDT The Google Analytics tracking code has not been detected on your
   website’s home page. For Analytics to function, you or your web administrator
   must add the code to each page of your website.”
 * Can you help?

 * Have you a cache plugin active? Did you empty the cache?
