 * The documentation says “WordPress displays comments in your theme based on the
settings and code in the `comments.php`“
but my theme TwentyTwentyFour does not
have that file. So where is it?
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fwhere-is-comments-php%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * The documentation is not up to date at this point. With modern FSE themes such
as TwentyTwentyFour, the output is controlled via a template – no longer via
a single file. You should be able to find the template in your WordPress backend
under Appearance > Site Editor > Templates.

 * You can find the comments.php file locally searching for it in the theme folder,
you can edit it then you can re upload the theme.
