 * I just installed and activated Meteor Slides. Where do I post the php code to
run it. Then is there is a document to create a slide, or automated process?
Sorry but I am entirely new to plugins and building a website. I want something
eye-catching doing nice things. My site is [http://roundhousetalk.com](http://roundhousetalk.com)
This is really important to me to get this done. Thanks.

 * Hi, there is a PHP template tag that you can use to add a slideshow to a theme
template file, but you only need to do that if you want the slideshow in the
header, footer, or other area that you can’t edit via WordPress.
 * It is easier to add a slideshow to the page content using the shortcode, or to
a sidebar using a widget, take a look at the documentation on [adding a slideshow](http://jleuze.com/plugins/meteor-slides/adding-a-slideshow/)
   for more info.
 * The documentation on [using Meteor Slides](http://jleuze.com/plugins/meteor-slides/using-meteor-slides/)
explains how to add slides and has a video that show you how to do it.
 * Let me know if you have any questions!

 * I tried everything the documentation said to do, created the new slide show.
Still can’t see anything in my [http://roundhousetalk.com](http://roundhousetalk.com)
page. The ‘[meteor_slide]’ is in my html page. Previously I used slide deck 2
and it worked, but I want something more eye catching such as yours. What next?

 * I see the slideshow in the source code of the page, there is only one slide,
and it has a link, but not slide. Add another slide and add an image to each
of them and the slideshow will show up.
 * Watch [the video](http://jleuze.com/plugins/meteor-slides/using-meteor-slides/)
and it will show you how to add the slide images, when you have it right, a thumbnail
of the slide image will show up in the slide post.

 * Maybe I’m doing the wrong thing. I was hoping to use the plugin to capture Posts
of news articles. Does adding a slide image become a gallery, or will it also
capture the Posts? If the news content doesn’t have an image (picture) what happens?
I was hoping to capture the top Posts without having to set it up each time I
want to change an older article to a more recent article. Am I close in my thinking?

 * The slideshow isn’t connected to the blog posts and doesn’t load posts into the
slideshow. You create separate slide posts for the slideshow, each with a slide
image that you manually add and, optionally, a link. So you can link to blog
posts if you want, or any page or pages on another site, anything you want.
 * But it isn’t meant to highlight blog posts specifically, if you only want to
load the latest blog posts, you might want to try a different plugin.

 * Thanks very much. Appreciate your prompt help. Will try the image links you advised
and see if it works good.
