# Which WordPress Version am I Using?

 * I’ve looked at a few other threads dealing with this topic and still haven’t 
   been able to solve my problem. How can I find out which version of WP I’m using?
   Please explain this as if you’re talking to a three-year-old–I really am that
   inexperienced!

 * It will tell you the version number in the lower right corner of your admin screen

 * I’m having the same problem. In my Dashboard / At a Glance it says WordPress.
   com running Emire theme.
    When I View Page Source, it says `meta name="generator"
   content="WordPress.com" /` When I View Page Info, it says the generator is WordPress.

 * Depending how you installed your site, there may be a readme.html that will have
   the version number in it.
 * Try going to yourdomain.com/readme.html and see what comes up.
