While using other language question is not saving

this is certainly a new issue. I cannot think of any reason why questions wouldn’t save in bengali for you, and I know with 100% certainty that HD Quiz works with bengali as many other users have their sites set to it.

First, you can always revert to a previous version, but I obviously don’t recommend doing that and think you should only consider that as a last resort. You can download all previous versions here.

Can you please describe what it is that you are actually doing when questions fail to save? Are you saying that if you create a new question but use English it works, but if you try to do the same thing in bengali then it won’t save? Or are you saying that it doesn’t work if you change the entire site language to bengali? Does it only fail to save if you create a new question, or does it also happen when editing an existing question?

Please provide an example question and answers you are using so I can try and replicate the issue on my end.

And if you could please check the browser console and let me know what messages show up there after trying to save a question. The console can be opened on most browsers by pressing F12 on your keyboard and making sure that the console tab is selected.

Hmmm… I’ve so far been unsuccessful in replicating this issue. Everything saves just as normal regardless if I use Which player have most centuries in ODI or Which player have most centuries in ODI(কোন প্লেয়ার সব থেকে বেশি সেঞ্চুরি ওয়ান ডে তে ) and variations thereof.

If the above has any messages, they could lead us to figure out what the cause is on why the questions won’t save if you use a different language.

I’m inclined to think that the root of the issue might be caused by something else on your site. The problem is that the things that could be causing character encoding issues are many.

The issue could be the rendered character encoding on your site doesn’t allow those types of characters – it could be an overzealous security plugin that doesn’t allow anything with “unknown” characters to save to the database or a hundred other possibilities.

At this point, I think that your best option is to do the recommend WordPress debugging process.

Start by switching themes and checking to see if the issue is still there. If the issue is no longer there then we at least know that the issue lies somewhere with your theme.

If using the default WP theme still has the same issue, then we can start targetting other plugins. Disable all plugins except HD Quiz, then check. You can then re-enable them one-by-one until the issue occurs again and we know which plugin is the cause.

Other than that I just want to remind you that reverting to a previous version of HD Quiz is always an option.

I’m marking this thread as complete simply because I cannot think of anything you can do or try to figure this out short of granting me full access to your site so I can debug the entire thing. However, if you uncover any other information or have any other updates please reply here and I’ll open this back up again so we can hopefully find a solution for you.
