White lines added automatically after inserting image

When I insert an image (with caption) into a post, one or more white line are added beneath that image automatically. I cannot see them in the visual editor, but in the text editor they display as ‘   ‘ and they’re also visual when I publish the post.

So now I always have to remove these line manually before posting. Is there anyway to prevent they’re being added.
