 * Hi All,
    I was just wondering about the benefits of allowing comments. I personally
   don’t have them on my site because I felt I would prefer it to be a one-way communication
   like a book. However, I am wondering if allowing them might increase hits through
   engaging discussion and also whether there would be any further SEO benefits?
   Any opinions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

 * This post was rather insightful: [http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/2006/04/a-blog-without-comments-is-not-a-blog.html](http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/2006/04/a-blog-without-comments-is-not-a-blog.html)
 * In short – You might get more traffic. I can’t say it’d improve your SEO (I doubt
   it would) but it might improve popularity.
