I edited the config-sample file, I renamed it wp-config.php. MySql is version 4.0.18B and PHP is 5.0.3. does anyone know why this may be? Dgold, not sure..but is there a setting in Windows to have extensions un-hidden? Click on the Tools option in the Menubar. Click on Folder Options. Click on View. * Check the radio button next to Show hidden files and folders. UNCHECK the box next to Hide extensions for known file types. I need this before we can get started. Need more help? We got it. You can create a wp- config.php file through a web interface, but this doesn’t work for all server setups. The safest way is to manually create the file.When I go to url/blog/wordpress/ wp-admin/install.php. I have created a database named wordpress, I have edited the wp-config-sample.php file and renamed it to wp-config.php. I double checked the file does not have an additional php on the suffix. I am between and betwixed.
