 * There doesn’t seem to be a wp-config.php file? I edited the config-sample file,
   I renamed it wp-config.php. MySql is version 4.0.18B and PHP is 5.0.3. does anyone
   know why this may be?

 * double check your /wordpress/ directory and make sure the file is there and that
   you didn’t accidently rename the file something other than wp-config.php

 * you might’ve renamed it wp-config.php.php
    if Windows was hiding your extensions(
   so .php was already there just hidden)

 * yeah, that happens to me all the time..but I usually notice it and fix the ending.
   php.txt or .php.php in the FTP client then hehe.. Dgold, not sure..but is there
   a setting in Windows to have extensions un-hidden? Maybe I’m just not looking
   too hard or something… =/ Nah, I just didn’t look period lmao!!

 * Yeah…. open My Computer. Click on the Tools option in the Menubar. Click on Folder
   Options. Click on View.
 * Check the radio button next to Show hidden files and folders. UNCHECK the box
   next to Hide extensions for known file types. UNCHECK the box next to Hide protected
   operating sytem files.
 * Tell MS where to go and what to do with themselves when they get there.

 * I get the following error There doesn’t seem to be a wp-config.php file. I need
   this before we can get started. Need more help? We got it. You can create a wp-
   config.php file through a web interface, but this doesn’t work for all server
   setups. The safest way is to manually create the file.When I go to url/blog/wordpress/
   wp-admin/install.php. I have created a database named wordpress, I have edited
   the wp-config-sample.php file and renamed it to wp-config.php. I double checked
   the file does not have an additional php on the suffix. I am between and betwixed.
   Any help would be greatly apprciated.
 * Thanks,
 * Mike

 * is your wp-config.php sitting directly in the wordpress folder? (i know it might
   seem like a stupid question, but you never know… )

 * The only thing I can think of is that it might be corrupted somehow. You might
   want to delete it and upload a new one (either re-download WP or try it with
   the current one in your folder on your machine)…
