# Why does admin email notification include users password?

 * Hi, I am wondering if I can remove the password info from the email to the administrator
   when a new user registers. I don’t want access to their password.

 * Sorry, let me clarify – I want to be notified as an admin when someone new joins.
   But I don’t want to get exactly the same email they received – I want their password
   to NOT be in the email to the admin. Thanks

 * The admin notification email in WP-Members already **does not** include the password.
   If you are getting the same email as the user, it is coming from somewhere/something
   else.

 * Hi Chad – thanks for replying. But is that really true? Below is the email I 
   receive as an admin (I adjusted to remove the actual user/pw). It’s basically
   an exact copy of what the settings default for the members. Any thoughts on where
   else would it be coming from? Thanks

 * Yes, that’s really true. There isn’t even an option to send the password to the
   admin. I get users all the time that ask why the **can’t** get the password emailed
   to the admin and I have to explain why no one should have the password except
   the user.
 * As to why you are getting the user’s welcome email coming to the admin – the 
   plugin doesn’t do that either.
 * I’m pretty sure you’ve got something other than WP-Members installed here.
