 * I am working on setting up a website for a client and I wanted to provide them
   with several custom backgrounds they could use without having to upload their
   own, just like you can define custom headers to load automatically…
 * I guess I could make this into a plug, but I don’t understand why it doesn’t
   already exist.
 * Thoughts?
 * Should I just write my own plugin to add this functionality?

 * I agree I think this is a common enough desire that it should be in the core.
   However I ended up editing the functions.php in my theme and added some custom
   fields and used a radio button to choose the image.
 * here’s the tutorial that I followed then modified.
