Widget display

I can’t get the widget on the sidebar to display the same tags as those shown under the article.

In the main settings, under “Tag Link Format” we are using: %tag_name%
to show the tags after the article. When I try to use that in the widget, it removes the code and replaces it with %tag_name%

I’ve looked at the documentation on github but can’t find any help or clues there.
